This is a small community. At the moment the only full time resident at CoMA is MysticEve and her daughter Sophie. They are minimalists and live as close to nature as possible. Their is very limited space in the main house but their is plenty of tent space available. The kitchen is open air, and has a traditional indigenous feel. The Art/tattoo studio is large, and built to be simple, elegant, and clean, with a lot of space. Attention artists! CoMA is always looking for new murals! The house was built in 2019 and is surrounded by beautiful fields, where horses and cows reside. They are very friendly neighbors. We have local (human) neighbors as well who Eve has developed close relations with and who have also helped immensely in the development of CoMA as not only a retreat center but a family community. She believes deeply in the benefits of healing environment; not only for like minded people in gated communities and retreat centers, but also for the communities within which we live. Truly integrating into local culture, and changing the way we think about community is an integral aspect of the CoMA spirit.
The bathroom facilities are designed to be minimalistic yet nice and clean. Their is hot water for the shower.
There is a central fire pit that is used for rituals and communion.
There is a small river that is very close and we are surrounded by magnificent mountains and wildlife.
We are walking distance to the local town of Ostional, that is famous for its large quantities of nesting sea turtles.
We are a 15 minute drive to Nosara which is the next biggest town. In Nosara you can find just about anything you need. Nosara is a common meeting place for travelers and spiritual seekers.
CoMA is located along the coastline of Guanacaste Costa Rica that has many amazing beaches. Each beach is unique and they are accessible by foot or by car. Hitchhiking is completely safe here and is common and accepted form of public transportation. Most of the time you don’t even have to put up a thumb!
